Heather Finocchiaro
Founder/Executive Director
Heather has a degree in psychology from Penn State and a master's degree in occupational therapy from Tufts University in Boston. She has 16 years of experience working as a therapist with a focus on sensory processing among children of all ages. Heather's experience with children also includes working as both a preschool and elementary school teacher, as well as a counselor for teens re-entering their communities after serving in juvenile justice programs.
Heather has had a passion for foster care since graduating from college and she and her husband became licensed foster parents in North Carolina in 2016. Their family witnessed first-hand how much support and advocacy is desperately needed for those who offer to serve as foster parents and are now dedicated to walking alongside others on this journey.
Heather is a wife to her favorite human, mother to two beautiful children, and loves her friends and family both near and far. She and her family are active in their church, love sunsets at the beach, and enjoy cruising with the top off their Jeep in sunny, Southwest Florida!
